How do I make payment via cellPAY?
The process for making payment via cellPAY is simple. Please follow the steps below:
  • Send SMS in the pre-defined format for the merchant.
  • You will receive an IVR call and will be prompted to enter your credit card details
  • You will receive confirmation SMS containing the transaction details

What payment modes can be used to make transactions using cellPAY?
Currently, Master card and Visa credit cards can be used to make transactions via mobile phone using cellPAY. We shall be launching another payment mechanism called cellMONEY shortly.

Is the payment through cellPAY secure?
The payment using cellPAY is totally secure.

Payment through credit card:

The credit card details are captured during the IVR call securely via DTMF tones. The credit card details are not spoken out during the call, but are just entered by the customers using their mobile phone keypad. The credit card details are sent securely over SSL to the payment gateway, thus ensuring end-to-end security. The credit card details thus entered in the IVR call are not stored in the cellPAY database.

Payment through cellMONEY:

A double layer authentication process is followed during the payment process using cellMONEY. Customer has to initiate payment transaction using the same mobile phone that he loaded the voucher on. He has to authenticate the transaction using an M-PIN that is associated with his mobile number. The M-PIN is captured securely using an IVR call.

How do I register myself with cellPAY?
When you make a payment transaction using cellPAY, your mobile number is automatically registered with cellPAY as individual account. You don’t need to register yourself explicitly before making the payment transaction.

Once the transaction is completed, you will receive an SMS with instructions on how to activate your cellPAY individual account.

If however you do want to register yourself explicitly without making a payment transaction, you can do so by sending REG to 5667766. You will receive an SMS with confirmation about registration and instructions regarding activation of your cellPAY individual account.

You can also register your mobile number with cellPAY and create your individual account using the customer registration form available on cellPAY website. Click here for registration.

How do I activate my cellPAY individual account?
Please send SMS ACTI Age Sex City to 5667766, enter sex in format M/F. e.g. ACTI M 22 New Delhi. You will receive an IVR call and will be prompted to enter 4-digit primary M-PIN. You will also be prompted to enter 8-digit secondary M-PIN, which could be an important date such as birthday, anniversary date, etc. This needs to be entered in date format (DD-MM-YYYY). You will then receive a confirmation SMS about activation of your cellPAY individual account.

Now you can log on to www.cellpay.co.in as an individual account holder using your mobile number and primary M-PIN as login details and check out your payment transactions, edit your profile, etc.

How do I register my credit card details with cellPAY?
Please send SMS CCREG to 5667766 to register your credit card details. You will receive an IVR call and will be prompted to enter credit card number and expiry date. You will receive a confirmation SMS about the successful registration.

Please note that if your cellPAY individual account is not activated yet, you will be asked to activate your cellPAY account before going through the credit card registration. You can activate your account by following the procedure as mentioned above.

Are my credit card details safe with cellPAY?
The credit card details are captured securely using IVR call using DTMF tones. The credit card number and expiry date thus captured is not spoken out during the call, but is just entered by the user using his mobile phone keypad. The credit card details thus captured are stored in the database securely in an encrypted format.

Please note that CVV number is not captured and stored in cellPAY database at all.

Once my credit card details are registered with cellPAY, how do I make payment transaction?
The payment transaction process remains the same as mentioned above. The only difference is that during the IVR call, you will be prompted to enter CVV number and primary M-PIN. You will not have to enter the credit card number and expiry date in every transaction.

What if I lose my mobile phone?
If you lost your mobile phone and your credit card is registered with your mobile phone in cellPAY, the payment transaction could still not be made, as the user is prompted to enter CVV number and M-PIN, and these details are known only to you.

In case you do lose your mobile, you are advised to block your cellPAY account by calling cellPAY helpline. Once the account is blocked, no transaction could be conducted using cellPAY.

How do I cancel my credit card registration with cellPAY individual account?
Please send CCCAN to 5667766. You will receive an IVR call and will be prompted to enter primary M-PIN. Upon successful validation, you will receive confirmation about cancellation of your credit card registration.

Can I register multiple credit cards with my cellPAY individual account?
You can register only one credit card. If you wish to register another credit card, you need to cancel your current credit card registration by using the procedure outlined above.

How do I change my M-PIN?
Please send CHGPINI to 5667766. You will receive an IVR call and will be prompted to enter old M-PIN and new M-PIN. You will receive a confirmation SMS about the transaction.

What if I forgot my M-PIN?
Please send FORGOTI to 5667766. You will receive an IVR call and will be prompted to enter secondary M-PIN. Upon successful validation, you will be prompted to enter primary M-PIN. You will receive confirmation SMS about the transaction.

What if I forgot my secondary M-PIN too?
Please call cellPAY helpline. The helpline executive will verify your credentials by asking you certain questions regarding your profile, and upon successful verification, will reset your account in the cellPAY database. You will receive a confirmation SMS with instructions on activating your account.

How do I change my mobile number associated with my cellPAY individual account?
Please send CHGMOB NEW_MOBILE_NO to 5667766. You will receive an IVR call and will be prompted to enter primary M-PIN. Upon successful validation, you will receive a confirmation SMS.

After changing mobile number, you can log on to cellPAY website by using the new mobile number and old M-PIN. All the transactions made through your old mobile phone will still be available for view.

For checking transactions using cellPAY website, you need to activate your cellPAY individual account. Upon activation, you can log on to cellPAY website using the mobile number and primary M-PIN as login details.

Once logged on, you can view the transactions made using your cellPAY account and edit your profile.

Upon suspension of your account, you will not be able to perform payment transactions until you re-activate your account.
