Security while using cellPAY |
Payment through credit card
The credit card details are not stored in cellPAY. The credit card details are captured
securely via DTMF tones during the IVR call. The credit card number and other confidential
information is not spoken out during the call, but is just entered by the customer
using his mobile phone key pad. The credit card details entered by customer are
sent securely to the payment gateway using https link, thus ensuring end-to-end
security.
Payment through bank account
The payment transaction is authenticated using customer’s M-PIN, which is
linked with his mobile number. There is double layer authentication. The customer
needs to initiate the payment transaction using the same mobile number that is associated
with his bank account. Further, he needs to enter M-PIN during the transaction for
authentication. M-PIN is captured securely via the IVR call. The M-PIN remains confidential
between bank and the customer and no third party comes in between during the authentication
process.
Payment through cellMONEY
A double layer authentication process is followed during the payment process using
cellMONEY. Customer has to initiate payment transaction using the same mobile phone
that he loaded the voucher on. He has to authenticate the transaction using an M-PIN
that is associated with his mobile number. The M-PIN is captured securely using
an IVR call.
